Welcome to the official website of the Tennessee Emu Association. TNEA was formed in April, 1992 and is one of the many state affiliates of the American Emu Association. Click on our logo above to come back to the home page from any page on this web site. The Tennessee Emu
Association represents an alternative agriculture industry, dominated by the
small farmer, who is devoted to humane and environmentally positive practices
that will produce beneficial products for society. Emus are raised on feed
formulated to optimize growth and in spacious pens providing ample room to grow.
When the bird is processed, the layer of fat is removed and refined into a safe
and stable oil, used in cosmetic and health products; the low-fat, mild flavored
red meat is sold to health conscious consumers; the leather is crafted into
beautiful goods. Even the feathers, claws and bones are used in some form or
fashion. The Tennessee emu farmer is committed to sound farming practices,
bringing the consumer quality products to enhance their lives.
If you are interested in emu products, please check out the ads some of our members have placed on the Classifieds page. If you don't find what you want, check the Product Suppliers page. We have an easy chart set up showing which of our members market which products. If you are planning on attending any of the many state-wide Events where some of our members have set up booths, please drop by and say hello! ![]() |
